Wilhelm Bergthaler

Environmental issues and industry have shaped the professional career of Wilhelm Bergthaler: after studying in Salzburg, he became a lawyer in Linz and, in 1999, founded the Vienna office of Haslinger / Nagele. Environmental proceedings for industrial and infrastructure projects form the main focus of his work. In addition, he advises on many aspects of public business law, ranging from product and energy law to public liability law.

Wilhelm Bergthaler teaches as a professor of environmental law at the JKU Linz. He serves as editor for several professional journals and has authored numerous publications. Within the International Bar Association, he is a member of the Environmental, Health and Safety Law Committee Advisory Board and currently serves as Dean of the Faculty of Law at JKU Linz.
