Gottfried Gusenbauer

Gottfried Gusenbauer, born in 1968 in Linz, has been the artistic director of the Caricature Museum Krems since 2012. As part of Linz 2009 – European Capital of Culture, he conceived the international Nextcomic Festival, which he directed until 2012 and has since served as a member of its program advisory board. He has curated exhibitions on artists such as Mordillo, Achdé, Erich Sokol, Manfred Deix, and Marie Marcks. Together with the Province of Lower Austria and patron Annemarie Sokol, widow and estate administrator of Erich Sokol, he developed the SOKOL Award for Digital Caricature, Critical Drawing, and Satire.
