The international cartoon competition Kaktus Cartoon Award presents the best cartoons on the theme “The Solution.”
What is Cupid up to with his arrow? How can ocean dumps be beautified? How might lollipops contribute to peace? …and what does yoga have to do with it all?
As diverse as the problems may be, so are the solutions. From intricately detailed drawings with depth and reflection to short, pointed jokes that hit the mark.
The exhibition presents the individual solution proposals of international cartoonists, selected by an independent jury.
A distinguished, internationally composed jury has chosen the best works from over 1,200 submissions by artists from all parts of the world — the very pieces now on display in this exhibition. Exhibition Catalogue: All Cartoons shown in the exhibition are printed as detachable postcards in the accompanying postcard book Postkartenbuch "Cartoon Postkarten - Die Lösung" that is available in the museum shop at Schlossmuseums Linz, at bookstores in Austria, Germany and Switzerland or directly at the publisher`s website: Scherz & Schund Fabrik 2026 the exhibition will travel to Museum Arbeitswelt in Steyr, Austria.
